Rain / Freeze Sensor

If you have a Sprinkler System you definitely need to consider a RAIN – FREEZE SENSOR.  If it is raining in the middle of the night and your sprinkler system is running while it is raining, the RAIN – FREEZE SENSOR will turn off the sprinkler system. (you can go back to sleep)  If you are on vacation and it has been raining for several days at home, the RAIN – FREEZE SENSOR will turn off the sprinkler system and keep it off while it is too wet to water.  If you forget to turn off your sprinkler system for the winter, “No Worries”, THE RAIN – FREEZE SENSOR will turn it off when it gets down to 37 degrees.

PRETTY COOL!

The rain gauge part of the sensor screws onto a gutter or the edge of the roof.  When the rain gauge reaches a preset amount such as “an eighth of an inch, or a quarter of an inch,”  The RAIN – FREEZE SENSOR sends a signal to the receiver attached to the sprinkler controller.  It then turns the sprinkler controller off.

The RAIN – FREEZE SENSOR is smart too!  If it rains a lot over several days, the RAIN – FREEZE SENSOR will keep the sprinkler system turned off until it is dry enough to water again.  Then it will turn the sprinkler system back on again.  If you would like to run your system before It is turned back on by the sensor, all you have to do is hit the “bypass” button once and you can use your sprinkler system as always.
